The Cost of Global Entry is Increasing. Act Now!

If you are an international traveler or thinking of international travel and you have not invested in getting Global Entry, the cost is increasing so act now. On April 2nd, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CPB) announced that it is increasing the program cost by 20%, and on October 1, 2024, the cost will increase to $120 from $100.

Is getting Global Entry worth the money and hassle? Absolutely! Once you have gone through the steps and obtained Global Entry, it makes traveling much easier. When entering the country, instead of having to stand in long lines that can take hours to get through, you be able to get through customs quicker and in many instances within a few minutes.

Additionally, Global Entry membership includes TSA precheck benefits for domestic travel, further streamlining the security process by eliminating the need to remove shoes, laptops, and light jackets.

Global Entry is good for five years. Be mindful of when your Global Entry membership expires and plan on submitting your renewal approximately one year in advance of its expiration. The CBP does not send out a reminder that your Global Entry is expiring, so it is on you to remember when it is due for renewal.

To simplify and streamline your travel, I encourage you get Global Entry. Global Entry cost is increasing, so act now. Here is the link to apply - https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry
